Sting and Trudie Styler appear together on stage at the 2010 Tuscan Sun Festival in Twin Spirits: an unique and intimate live theatrical performance by a chamber ensemble of actors, singers and musicians, portraying the deep and ultimately tragic love between the composer Robert Schumann and his pianist wife Clara Wieck. A special limited seating gala post-concert reception will be held at one of the leading Tuscan wineries, Avignonesi, one of the partner of the 2010 Tuscan Sun Festival. Proceeds from the concert and reception will be donated to the Rainforest Fund, the charity established by Sting and Trudie Styler over 20 years ago, the Del Sole Foundation, and the Royal Opera House Education Fund. Sting talked about his career, environmental activism, and upcoming world tour with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Touring with a symphony is bound to be different from traveling with rock musicians. But Sting values "variety and surprise." He anticipates a "successful partnership" with the orchestra. Celebrity performers, advocates and citizens gathered Sunday for the Climate Rally with two goals: to celebrate Earth Day's 40th anniversary and to demand that Congress pass a climate and clean energy bill in 2010. The musical lineup included Sting, John Legend, The Roots, Passion Pit and more. Men, women and children of all ages. Sign-carrying activists walked among tourists heading to the Smithsonian. "I'm having the time of my life," the Police man tells Billboard.com about his summer trek with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, which begins June 2 in Vancouver and crosses North America through July, including a pair of shows at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
